PAL to NTSC conversion is built into the Oppo players for proper output of PAL DVDs on North American standard TVs. Whether you have moved to North America and brought your movie collection with you, or simply enjoy foreign films not available in North America, this chip truly completes the "swiss army knife" Oppo Digital BluRay players.

This revolutionary NEW chip can be installed one of two ways:

1) Externally by plugging the chip into the RS232 and USB ports. Simple. Easy. Effective. A great solution if you already have a BDP-93/95 and do not want to open the unit to do the modification. The white 4-pin cable is not used and can be cut off.

2) Internally using the white 4-pin cable connected to a port on the inside of the player. The chip is then attached to the inside of the player with the adhesive backing. In this situation, the USB cable can be cut off.

A detailed installation sheet is included with the chip, and telephone and e-mail support is also available.

These chips may be purchased on their own without purchasing a unit from us, can be added on to your BDP-93/95 order from us if you'd like to do the install yourself (add this item to your cart along with the player), or can be ordered pre-installed by us as an option on your BDP-93/95 order (select the option drop-down on the player page and do not add the chip on its own - this item - to your cart).
